Made ‘down under’ the old fashioned way Bundaberg Ginger Beer uses ginger root grown in fertile soils; freshly ground and dried.
Carefully heated, mixed with Queensland Cane Sugar and water, this ‘worting’ releases the flavours, sugars and starches from the dried ginger. A special yeast is added to ferment the brew and to extract the optimum ginger flavor, characteristic in the gusto of Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
Now fermented the wort is craft-filtered leaving a little of the ginger root behind to continue adding flavor. This ginger beer concentrate is matured developing further the full on flavor profile of this exclusive craft-brewed ginger beer.
Finally, the matured concentrate is diluted to drinking strength with water, sugar and citric acid. Re-filtered, carbonated and bottled - ready to enjoy.
Before popping the cap, invert the bottle. Watch as those little pieces of ginger settled at the bottom of the bottle begin to float. Now you can pour! The ginger aroma and flavour is forward, warm, rich and inviting while the medium carbonation makes this extraordinarily refreshing; perfect after a long hard day.
