Fanta Orange was created in pre-war Germany as a product of an expansion by Coca Cola. The company offered some of its ingredients to its German company president, Max Keith. Keith added orange flavoring to its Coca-Cola ingredients and the product became so popular that the United States added its own Fanta line in the states in 1960. There are now more than 90 unique flavors of Fanta around the world, many of them only offered regionally, like Egypt's Blackcurrant flavor. Fanta's orange flavor is not so artificially orange but definitely not real orange, like orange jellies with a light coating of sugar.
